ABOUT THIS IS ICON

This Is Icon was established to remove barriers to entry into the creative industries and to support emerging, underrepresented and community-based talent.

We design and deliver accessible creative programmes, showcase opportunities and industry education that help individuals build confidence, develop professional skills and access real pathways into creative careers.

A core part of our work focuses on creating accessible pathways into professional showcase environments, helping creatives gain real industry exposure in safe, structured and educational settings.

We also support responsible creative practice, encouraging sustainability awareness and environmentally conscious production approaches within the creative industries.

This Is ICON – Sustainability & Responsibility Mission Statement

At This Is ICON, we believe that fashion, music, and entertainment can be powerful forces for change. Our mission is to deliver world-class runway and media experiences that inspire creativity while driving sustainability and social good.

Our sustainability promise focuses on three core goals:

1. Sustainable Production

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our London Fashion Week events through responsible material use, low-waste production, sustainable fashion partnerships, and eco-conscious venue management.

2. Ethical Collaboration

We champion designers, performers, and brands who share our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Every ICON event highlights individuals and organisations using their platforms for good — aligning with Albert’s principles and the Diamond framework for inclusion.

3. Legacy of Change

Our long-term goal is to become a fully Albert-accredited and Diamond-recognised creative platform, embedding sustainability into every stage of planning, production, and storytelling.

By combining creativity with conscience, This Is ICON stands at the forefront of a movement where fashion meets future — proving that style and sustainability can shine together.
